|Application ||IF, WB, E|
|Reactivity||Human, Mouse, Rat|
|Other Names||Elongation factor Tu, mitochondrial, EF-Tu, P43, TUFM|
|Target/Specificity||This TUFM antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 112-147 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human TUFM.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||TUFM Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Promotes the GTP-dependent binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the A-site of ribosomes during protein biosynthesis. Plays also a role in the regulation of autophagy and innate immunity. Recruits ATG5-ATG12 and NLRX1 at mitochondria and serves as a checkpoint of the RIG-I/DDX58-MAVS pathway. In turn, inhibits RLR-mediated type I interferon while promoting autophagy.|
