Tissue Location Expressed exclusively in neurons (at protein level). In all age groups, expressed at significantly higher levels in the medial prefrontal and orbital frontal cortices of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), a model of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, than Wistar Kyoto (WKY) animals. In the motor cortex, dorsal striatum and nucleus accumbens, expression is significantly elevated in SHR only in younger animals.
