Immunofluorescent analysis of CYSLTR2 staining in HuvEc cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a AF594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.

Function	Receptor for cysteinyl leukotrienes. The response is mediated via a G protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Stimulation by BAY u9773, a partial agonist, induces specific contractions of pulmonary veins and might also have an indirect role in the relaxation of the pulmonary vascular endothelium. The rank order of affinities for the leukotrienes is LTC4 = LTD4 >> LTE4.

Tissue Location	Widely expressed, with highest levels in the heart, placenta, spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes and adrenal gland. In lung, expressed in the interstitial macrophages, and slightly in smooth muscle cells
